Watching a TikTok edit of this anglerfish's journey has broken my little brain and I've been sobbing for minutes 😭

I think I've found a way to articulate what bothers me about the trajectory of the modern tech industry (and to some extent... society).

We are on this Earth to provide for each other. That's the "mission" of humanity as I see it.

This is incompatible with what the tech industry seeks to do.

Not here to excuse the entertainers playing the inauguration, but I will say that sometimes when a gangster has his eye on you, and he and his cronies are waiting to see if you say yes or no, "yes" might feel like the choice that gets you out of the moment with your skin intact, if not your soul

That's probably why I disliked Tricky, absolutely. I remember being awful at it and didn't know why at the time. Thinking back on it, that could match why it felt so off

I tried Tricky after playing 3 nearly religiously for years, and it just didn't meet my expectations, it was such a good game

I've always had Hazelnut pirouettes... On a whim I bought the French vanilla 🤯 I have a new addiction at least until I forget about them in 3-5 business years

I hope/believe there is a renaissance of indie and AA studios that respect the TEAM atmosphere again.

CCP was my first and last game industry job, 12 years ago. I miss game dev but nothing about the current job climate inspires comfort. AAA shuttering studios to fracture creatives just doesn't sit right with me.

Spotify just isn't as good at music discovery as I feel they should be. TikTok sent me more "indie" musicians that match my vibe than Spotify. (Tentative) RIP TikTok 😭 I'll miss your music suggestions

Been revisiting my old Spotify playlists I made 13+ years ago and the nostalgia hit is something else. I used TikTok to find tons of new amazing music, and it's interesting that my taste hasn't shifted much.

The stares from people when they don't know how to respond are less painful with time, but it is never zero 😆🙃

Overriding Ctrl+F feels like it should be a capital offense

The wasted space on discourse is what kills me, classic forums felt more efficient... depending on the admin.
