I have a friend who works for a different school district. The district made a bunch of administrative changes for the upcoming school year. They decided to hold a meet and greet this summer so the staff can meet their new administrators. It's not mandatory however, it's a day in August, not a scheduled work day for staff, only for administrators; no one will be compensated if they attend; they've been asked to contribute a dish from home for lunch; they've also been asked to contribute $5 towards lunch. I hope no one shows up.
