4/5 Some papers you just love a bit extra - this was a super interesting and what felt like important research and I'm thrilled to see it finally out.

3/5 We argue that the alignment of a market-based approach and practices in the state's social services acquisition regime, with business corporations' capitalist, expansionary logic and competitive experience contributed to their empowerment in a changing institutional environment.

2/5 A shift to marketization in the regime leads to micro-level policy feedback effects that contribute to accumulation of institutional power of large business corporations. We illustrate this through process tracing the change in the acquisition regime of social services in Israel in the 2010s.
