The gambling industry evolving every day in more and more wretched ways. Bet on what now? Your child support? This, sports betting, and prediction markets should be banned or at least banned from being advertised and showing up in the app store without searching for it.

Probably missing part of the discourse you are referring to.. the most backlash I've seen on ai upscaling is the one youtube seems to force on shorts, unknowingly to creators uploading them. The "unknowingly" part was the source of the anger, not the upscaling.

Project Motor Racing has a Nazi Problem - PH Takahashi If there is one Nazi game developer in the room with ten other people working with them, how many Nazi game developers are there on the team?

New blog Post:

That's right, it's time to profile Austin Ogonoski: the neo-nazi that's the Game Design Director for Project Motor Racing.

Major CW on this one. Don't buy PMR kiddos.

Hey @nytimes.com, did you change your headline, and change "Islamophobic attacks" on Mamdani to just "attacks," because Elise Stefanik and the GOP bullied you into it? Really? Why are they no longer Islamophobic attacks, as your headline originally and correctly stated?

the youtube vs yt-dlp arms race is hilarious, because of how lopsided it is.

on the one hand, you've got a company with the GDP of Denmark who has about a manhattan-project's worth of developers they can assign to this.

but on the other end, you've got every bored or annoyed javascript hacker.

I hope people understand that the anomaly here aren’t the conditionsβ€”the conditions are very typicalβ€”the anomaly is that they put a number of documented workers from a high-income country in those conditions. This is how people are treated in custody routinely
