The decision was difficult. We reviewed applicants on the scale of their previous work, consistency of style, style of work, artist resume, and the artist’s statement of interest.

First rejection of 2025. Just part of the process.
Instead of feeling dejected, I responded asking for feedback on my application. If it was purely the style of my work, we just weren’t a good match. But if something else lacked, I want to know. Don’t be afraid to ask, “Why?”
