Neural electrodes were modified with poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene) (PEDOT) doped with chondroitin sulfate or dextran sulfate. Electrochemical and acute electrophysiological recordings were underta...
In this article I show that electrode area has the strongest impact on electrophysiological recordings by controlling the measured neural population rather than reducing thermal noise. It also highlights the limits of cable theory in neuroscience.

Endovascular neural stimulation with platinum and platinum black modified electrodes
Scientific Reports - Endovascular neural stimulation with platinum and platinum black modified electrodes
We open up the possibility of safer bionic devices. Through electrochemical measurements and electrophysiological modelling, we show it is theoretically possible to stimulate neural tissue using minimally invasive endovascular electrodes

We want your ideas on making Australia more productive and prosperous | Australia's Productivity Pitch
We are gathering new policy ideas across 5 areas of the Australian economy.
Australia's productivity commission is calling for new ideas to increase productivity. My submission argues any improvements are achieved by sustained high levels of investment in research and development, stable employment and simpler funding applications
