Big fan of the left one, I like the pinker shadows, I think they add something real nice. But, I do gotta say the style on the right does interest me, feels heavy if that makes sense? I'd be curious to see you do more in that look.

Bit specific, but for 1st person stories I really like seeing the character's personality in the narration, especially if it changes over the course of the fic. Like, watching the text itself become lazy, gluttonous, etc. does utter fireworks when it hits for me. (Also YEAAAH FILA WRITING RAAHH!)
