You can't see DLD (Developmental Language Disorder ) so what does it look like in the classroom?
DLD can look like ADHD but you'll also notice that children with DLD have difficulty using words and sentences and understanding, even when they are focussed.

Student test scores are sliding, reaching new lows Scores for 12th-graders in math and reading continued their years-long slide, reaching new lows on national tests, new data released Tuesday show.

High school students had worse scores in reading and math on national tests in 2024 than they did before the pandemic.

Donald Trump’s proposed budget would gut American science It would slash cancer research, drug trials, space exploration, and so much more.

Cutting $20 billion to NIH over 25 years may save $500 billion on paper, but it’d end up costing $8.2 trillion in lost human health.

But NIH isn't the only thing being cut. The budget also slashes all NSF-funded science by 73 percent. NASA faces “the biggest single-year cut to NASA in history."
