OK, so our "Secretary of War" currently has two big priorities: (1) murdering innocent fishermen in the Caribbean, and (2) endangering the lives of commuters in Southern California.

Perhaps, we are seeing one of the downsides to having a drunk TV talk show chatterbox running our military.

What we are witnessing is an outright abuse of power.

This administration is attacking critics and using fear as a weapon to silence anyone who would speak out. Media corporations — from television networks to newspapers — are capitulating to these threats.

Let’s be clear about what happened to Jimmy Kimmel Trump’s most brazen attack on free speech yet.

After years of complaining about cancel culture, the current administration has taken it to a new and dangerous level by routinely threatening regulatory action against media companies unless they muzzle or fire reporters and commentators it doesn’t like.

Decrying violence against political opponents rings a bit hollow when you pull Secret Service protection from your political opponents.

When people say “this isn’t who we are” I kinda wonder what evidence they’re basing that on. I’m sad. Incredibly sad. But time and again, it *is* who we are. I want us to be different.

James Madison was elected in 1812 during the War of 1812.

Abraham Lincoln was elected in 1864 during the Civil War.

FDR was elected in 1944 during WWII.

JBJ & Nixon were elected in 1964 & 1972 during the Vietnam War.

George W. Bush was elected in 2004 during the Iraq and Afghanistan wars.
