Peril or Deathbringer from the side characters, probably Glory from the main 5.

I think the main appeal are the characters, and there are pretty good. I kinda see why there is a fandom, the characters are just a lot of fun. The main plot of Arc 1, well... eh. I think I enjoyed the individual story in 2, 3 and 4 way more, than the overarching plot.

So, I finished Book 5 of the #WingsofFire series, and my conclusion is: Book 1 and 5 are pretty messy, but everything in between actually slaps.

Shout out to Deathbringer, the dumbass who was sent to kill someone, helped her become queen instead, and ended up being her royal joytoy. What a legend.
