Maslow’s Heirarchy of Needs is a commonly accepted summarization of human needs. Control and influence determine a lot of the ways those needs are met.

No counter argument will be good enough for you when you have already closed your mind to the possibility of their being one. I could give you the lore and philosophy on it, but that’d waste both of our time. And this character limit would make it difficult.

Again, you are biased against actions of individuals that manipulate religious principles to fulfill their own interests. Many people are bad and use religion as a vehicle to serve themselves. You call other people stupid but don’t seem to understand much about theology, psychology, or sociology.

I believe we’re imagining very different scenarios when we imagine people praying. Praying can be very helpful. If someone is able to rest easier at night thinking God is keeping their family safe or alive when they cannot control external factors, that can actually be very helpful.

Exactly. You have a perspective of Christianity that influences your opinion of all religions and overrides any of the good that has come from religion. What about Jainism? Or Tibetan Buddhism? I’m sure practitioners of these religions have hurt people but the religion itself is not dangerous.
