Just finished it, easily top 5 comedies for me. Lolly Adefope is great.

Such a shame we only got 5 films from him. His performance in The Godfather Part 2 is incredible. I always think back to that ‘you’re nothing to me now’ scene with Pacino. Both untouchable 👌

Having a look through my Letterboxd stats and safe to say I need to be more diverse with the films I watch. My most watched directors and actors are all white men. But one thing that’ll never be topped is highest rated Actor. John Cazale, 4.9/5.

Ok late to the party but finally started watching Ghosts. What a great little comedy.

The Studio really is fantastic. Episode 4 is the best one yet. The noir style is great but also the Fincher too many takes and Tarantino feet jokes are 10/10.

Been looking for a new easy comedy to watch, gone with Stath Let’s Flats. Anyone seen it and is it worth my time?

Haven’t been able to get into Severence. Tried a couple of times and it just doesn’t click for me. But it doesn’t matter as the best show on tv at the moment is The Studio.

So I watched the prequal trilogy back to back and wonder if ended up where I did with revenge of the sith because of how poor the first two are, it felt like a big step up and a relief to watch something half decent in comparison.

Yeah I think that's fair, I just still get a bit hung up on the OT looking a bit dated, and for me Rogue One has the combination of having a good narrative from the original and looking good

Finally finished all the Star Wars films. Rogue One still the best imo. While The Phantom Menace & Attack of the Clones aren't great films, I think I did enjoy the politics of those more than the constant space battles and shooting of the others. The Rise Of Skywalker the less said about the better.

And Hayden Christensen. He wasn't that bad really was he.

I'm rewatching all of the Star Wars films and I do not understand the Jar Jar Bink's hate. Is he actually any worse than Chewbacca?

Lovely stuff. I think probably my favourite Pixar film.

No great. 14/23. Shorts killed me, but probably my fault for not watching any of them. And didn’t expect Anora to do quite as well as it did. Nail was in the coffin as soon as Baker got editing over Conclave. #Oscars

Ok I got this massively wrong and under-predicted how well Anora will do. Almost certain for Best Picture now.

500+ plus movies on my watchlist and instead I’m currently watching Bobby Davro and Ricky try and make a go at running Pat’s Cabs.

Still got so many Oscar films to watch before Sunday, and yet I seem to have started rewatching old Eastenders episodes from 2008 in iPlayer.

Finally got round to seeing The Brutalist. Absolutely incredible. As much as I loved Culkin in A Real Pain it does feel a bit of a shame he’s a shoe in for the Oscar because Guy Pearce is fantastic.

Finally getting to see The Brutalist tonight. Glad the viewing starts at 7pm. That seems like a good idea.

Of course they won’t because they not only nominated Polanski in 2003 but he ended up winning.

Hopefully those Gascón tweets have a knock on for all of Emilia Perez and it wins nothing. And really she should be removed as a nominee.

Didn’t even get close. Only ended up watching Silence and half of Hugo.

Determined to complete Scorsese’s filmography this week. Feel like Boxcar Bertha is going to be a struggle.
