On Tuesday October 28th Imported Studios acted as host of our monthly Capital Film Arts Alliance (CFAA) Screenwriting Lab meeting featuring screenings of three short films created through the first Microfilm Initiative class.

Olivia is on the road this week shooting some B Roll and doing research on a couple of our films. This was her lodging last night near Dunsmiur CA.

On Tuesday August 26th from 7-9 pm the latest Capital Film Arts Alliance (CFAA) Screenwriting Lab meeting was held at Imported Studios in Sacramento. Veteran SAG actor John Demakas provided a brand new pilot for a series he's developing called "Golden State" for our monthly Table Reading event.

We've been working on the volumetric lighting, lens flares, and color grading for our 3D Photorealistic Animated Feature Film "Singlewide Pride." Here are 2 stills of one of the master files for downtown Eureka. This set is used in multiple scenes.

I was on location in Crescent City working on "Terror at the Dragon's Teeth: Sinking of the SS Brother Jonathan." This is a documentary / docudrama feature about a paddlewheel steamer that hit an reef off the shore of Crescent City on July 30th 1865. Only 19 out of 244 passengers and crew survived.

A week ago we started reclaiming our old pool. Drained it. Plaster removed. Prepped, and new plaster applied. In the process of filling the pool. Hired a professional pool company to handle our maintenance programs from here on out.

Last Tuesday our live action short film script "The Lifelong Gift" was performed as a Table Read at the CFAA Screenwriting Lab Meeting. We used the valuable notes for one final rewrite before submitting it as part of a $20,000 Grant Proposal to the Robert Craig Films Foundation yesterday.

We are extremely proud of the work we did on this wonderful short film "Songs and Secrets" written and directed by our dear friend Sherri Z. Heller. Circle B Productions was heavily involved in the production and more significantly in the post production. Olivia handled CGI, Sound Design and music.

We're extremely busy working on our film projects. These images were created a few months ago to visually compliment dialogue and action lines found in our award winning "Singlewide Pride" script. Tony Freeman has just been released from prison and he's riding in Art Perfect's Blue Mustang.

We had a great time with my Capital Film Arts Alliance (CFAA) colleagues at the "Cast and Crew Call" for "A Place Call Sacramento." Many new folks signing up for our monthly newsletter. Dozens of conversations with attendees concerning our Screenwriting Lab, Actors Workshop and Film Forum.

On April 12th, Circle B Productions was thrilled to aid the production of a short script written by our good friend Sherri Z. Heller who contributed to both of our Animated Feature films. Sherri created and directed her script called "Songs and Secrets" though the CFAA Screenwriting Lab.

Here are five more stills of the Commercial/Industrial Zone in Singlewide Pride that we promised to post a few months ago following the initial unveiling of this work. It's been a fun creative challenge to build this world for our quirky, lovable characters to live in.

Grandpa DABOR continues to lose his marbles as he plunges the world's best economy into a recession in order to give the top 1% another multi trillion dollar tax cut.

DABOR (Dumb As Box Of Rocks) remains delusional and JD is there to clean up the nonsense Grandpa spews. They both promised Putin a deal as the Russian economy is imploding. Zelensky stood strong and said no deal without security guarantees for Ukraine. DABOR whiffed.

JV Retreat and DABOR (Dumb As Box Of Rocks) made complete fools of themselves and embarrassed the majority of Americans in the pursuit of Putin's blessing for the building of DABOR Towers - Moscow.

It may seem work on Singlewide Pride, our 3D Photorealistic Animated Feature Film, has slowed. It's just the opposite. Here are 4 images of the cemetery in our film which appears twice: once when Leslie dies, and again when Art is trying to figure out what happened to the money she embezzled.

We thought making Singlewide Pride as a 3D Animation Feature Film would be straight forward. After all it was written as a low budget indie. We overlooked many scenes in automobiles so we needed to create a small coastal city. Here are five stills from that work. More to follow

My CFAA Board Buddy and Screenwriting Lab Leadership partner Steve Orcino and I went to see our CFAA Board Member colleague and SAG actor Donna-Lisa Otto in a production of Anne of Green Gables last night in Auburn. I did cry when the Character Matthew died and also when Steve gave me a cookie.

I planted a blood orange tree 17 years ago, because I thought it was cool. I really didn't do much with the hundreds of oranges each year other than watch my neighbor pick the ones on his side of the fence. Olivia bought a juicer and now we have an indie horror film prop in our frig.

What a great night at our Capital Film Arts Alliance (CFAA) Networking Event held at the Imported Studios facility. 75 plus attendees who each had the opportunity to spend a few precious minutes telling everyone about themselves followed by a lottery for free giveaways and more networking time.

CFAA Indie Film Networking Event tonight at 7 PM at the Imported Studios located 1767 Tribute Road in Sacramento. Circle B Productions will be there along with many other professionals.
