So glad someone put this together. The speaker is so woefully uninformed about... well everything!

I have not regretted my move to PDX at all. The quality of life is so much better. There are things I miss, but overall it's great. I feel like I'm jiving with Portland because it's a mix of places I've lived before: liberal and proud like SF, green and lush like Ohio, mountains around like AZ/LA.

Who hallucinates more? The president or AI 🤔

Just an amazing level of competence in this administration.

Parenting is just wildly oscillating between wanting to squish your kid and say "I love you so much" and fighting the urge to run away from home because you can't stand your kid.

As far as I can tell Republican policy closely matches my toddler's (1.5 yo). Running around and smashing whatever they can get their hands on and then clapping for themselves because the other people on the room yelled "not that!" And they get the bonus thrill of having made a loud sound.

If you base it on the man month rate that devs/co-devs charge on the higher, but not top end (Im most familiar w/ AAA space) - you can get a team of 125 devs for the cost of one EA CEO.

As if all of this weren't enough - *Looks at news/stocks/state of the world* - I broke the glass shade on a sconce in my rental house (technically my 1 yo did), attempted to replace it, found out that not only does it cost $999, but it's out of stock everywhere. There goes my entire security deposit

I'm just going to point out that a large number of these "reciprocal" tariffs are on countries that the US had negotiated a trade deal with.... Which our dummy in chief backed out of in term #1.

It seems almost unavoidable at this point that we are headed for a deep, deep recession. Just based on 200K+ federal firings & pullback of contracts, the March employment report (to be released April 4) seems certain to show bigger job losses than any month ever outside of a few in 2008-9 and 2020.

The "law and order" party actually doesn't give two shits about the law, or order. Who would have thought.

I have a 3 year old, a 1 year old, starting to hit perimenopause, and have ongoing intense anxiety/panic about the administration. Im not sure I'll ever sleep again.

I thought that this time around I'd be too busy (2 small kids) to get too stressed out by the daily onslaught of news. I was wrong.
