Yes I did and you're taught to square up, which is what Al-Shaair was doing here before launching himself. You're not coached to launch yourself at an incoming defender. Why would he already be in the process of tackling 4 yards away? That's his fault for launching himself when a QB can slide.

Trevor was running, started to slide, and still had momentum that carried him to the LB. The LB lunged at Trevor's head as he slid down. It's not too late at all. Defenders touch QBs down as they slide all the time without attacking their heads.

an overlooked aspect of all these “bluesky is an echo chamber” pieces is that the writers bizarrely think that the only reason people use social media is to talk about politics, which is true only for a subset of users

I was planning to majorly limit my social media usage by leaving Twitter, but I've admittedly used Bluesky more than expected. The good news is that I can tell this is far less addicting and I feel like I am in complete control of what I'm consuming.

I'd pay for a subscription if it's reasonable and doesn't continuously increase.
