My conversations with people at the city is the landlord is terrible and terrible to deal with and he doesn't want the historic preservation. My opinions are that there is nothing historic in that building besides the shape - it's like a 4x Ship of Theseus.

As someone who lives 30 miles south of Seattle, just go to Paris or Copenhagen or NL. Seattle has lots of bike lanes but many of them don't feel safe for average riders
