No - it's much, much stupider. In 2003 the US was heavily dependent on foreign oil. In 2025 the US is a net exporter of oil. We do not need to steal anyone's oil for national security. This war is a fantasy project of people so uninformed and incurious that they don't realize the world has moved on.
