Supreme Court backs Trump in controversial deportations case The order marks a win for the Trump administration, even if temporary, and it could well be a harbinger of things to come as the administration continues to clash with federal courts.

I don’t know why I thought the court would rule any different. So infuriating to watch the fall of democracy.

As I wrote last night, in her opinion, Judge Xinis was careful to point out the government's evidence Abrego Garcia belongs to MS-13 was so weak as to be nonexistant. More here: joycevance.substack.com/p/the-week-a...

I never said it did. But people hid it, it was a lot more covert. Then a black man was elected president, and they all took off their masks. I have lived in red areas almost my entire life and have witnessed it first hand.

Unfortunately, I believe that Obama brought out all the haters, Trump has empowered them. They’ve literally gone from closet bigots to not caring. Trump makes them feel legitimized. Shows how many people were hiding their true selves this entire time. 😭😑🀬

I think she was kind in her depiction of him. Made him look normal-ish and definitely slimmed him down.

Between him and Steve Bannon…never thought I’d see the day. Too little too late. They need to be louder too.

Never thought I’d see the day. Even Steve Bannon has spoken about it. That’s scary. But also, too little too late. Why did they support him when this was his campaign promise? Granted, I didn’t believe a lot of what he said, bc he talks a lot of BS. +you know, checks and balances that aren’t working

No Fed 'put' when it's unclear which way the economy may pivot U.S. Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell has sent strong messages when he felt they were needed, going on television to pledge maximum support for the economy when the COVID-19 pandemic struck, using a terse 2022 speech for a stern message about inflation, and jumping in to backstop financial markets after the 2023 failure of Silicon Valley Bank.

The Fed can’t even react bc Trump’s policies are so insane.

β€œThe irony is not lost on me that Donald is the only confirmed domestic terrorist in this scenario, having incited thousands of people to engage in an insurrection against our government. But because he, and they, they won, they get to rewrite that history.

My Kingdom and more for anyone to realize that awarding yourself a government contract is not a conflict of interest. It's corruption. When the bank teller takes the money out of the cash drawer and puts it in his pocket that's not a conflict of interest either.

Talk of firing or resigning is one thing. But if they were regular employees, they would face investigation & prosecution. No reason their principals, people who hold security clearances, shouldn’t. Or is the legacy of the β€œbut her emails” guy going to be nat’l security no longer matters?

When I was in the USAF and had a TS Clearance I almost went to prison for 5 years for being a threat to national security because I was gay. Didn't disclose secrets, didn't do anything. Just EXISTED. Yet these fools just breached our national security and it's "just another day at the office."

I cannot stress enough how important this issue is. It’s a two pronged attack against the judiciary.

The first prong attack is threatening to impeach federal judges who rule against the administration. The second prong is intimidating lawyers from bringing cases against the administration.

You obviously missed the Canadian sense of humour. Don’t worry, I don’t truly want to move to Canada, even though my state should be a part of it due to demographics. I’m hoping to move out of North America entirely. :) And no, I don’t have American exceptionalism. It was literally bloody joke.
