Congestion pricing has improved life in New York City by: reducing cars on the street, speeding traffic (especially at peak hours), speeding buses and making them more reliable, expanding transit ridership, reducing car crashes, reducing noise complaints, and increasing the number of visitors.

Fire response times fell in the NYC congestion zone, even as they increased in the rest of the city.

Car crashes with injuries fell citywide, but they fell especially dramatically in the congestion pricing zone from 2024 to 2025

Local buses have sped up dramatically in the congestion pricing zone.

NYC’s congestion pricing is a policy miracle: Less traffic, less noise, faster transit, more business sales, more transit revenue. And it hasn’t produced the negative effects outside the cordon zone we were afraid of.

Got a new electric toothbrush and if I don’t brush for a full 2 minutes the display makes a sad face emoji and sometimes I think about what it would be like to go back in time and tell my childhood self the future isn’t the Jetsons or Star Trek but rather it’s passive aggressive toothbrushes.

Man, I miss the good old days when we all hated on billionaires and distrusted the government together—before we started simping for politicians and defending corporate overlords like they’d share the wealth. Simpler times.

Looks like Honda and Nissan are merging—Adam Smith must be rolling in his grave! Turns out, when competition gets too tough, the ‘invisible hand’ waves a white flag and calls it ‘synergy.’

I work in advertising, and our media mix has shifted drastically toward short digital videos. Linear TV is still part of the mix but is no longer the dominant force, especially with younger audiences.

It’s like they’re saying Google will become trustworthy enough that people won’t need to type ‘Reddit’ anymore.
