You wouldn't dismantle the agency that protects consumers for corporate abuse and scams unless you wanted your rich buddies to be able to abuse and scam consumers.

I'm a US based flight attendant. It's an open secret that Air Traffic Control has been over worked + under regulated for ages, and the idea that FEWER resources would be allocated for Air Safety should stun everyone but surprise no one. Even with little info, I fear this is a direct result.
