05.11.2025 19:04 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Thank you - I hope it will not be too long.
05.11.2025 17:14 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Thanks. Already have a physiotherapist who comes weekly and has worked wonders.
05.11.2025 17:13 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Thanks. It was actually 2 surgeries as 1 failed - the first was robotic (small scars), the second old school.
05.11.2025 17:11 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Thank you Becky
05.11.2025 17:09 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Beautiful Moon tonight. Unfortunately I canβt move my scope outside due to major surgery in August which has me learning to walk, breathe and think all over again. They say 6-10 months recovery and I am guessing it is going to be closer to 10.
05.11.2025 03:36 β π 7 π 0 π¬ 4 π 0Found this cute spider between the sheds. It is humongous! Cat-faced spider according to Google
03.08.2025 21:47 β π 7 π 0 π¬ 2 π 0Thanks Becky. Been busy with other things for a while but hopefully can get back into it again.
21.06.2025 02:18 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Starless narrowband shot of M16, the Eagle Nebula. H@, Oiii and Sii images combined and processed in Pixinsight. The Pillars of Creation show up nicely on the first image but my editing skills need some work.
20.06.2025 21:53 β π 7 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Been gone for a while but hopefully can catch up on some of the past couple of months work. This represents 12 hours integration time on M63, the Sunflower Galaxy.
07.05.2025 23:12 β π 5 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0In like a lamb, out like a lion - so true
28.03.2025 15:12 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Northern Lights out again tonight. I thought it was springtime
22.03.2025 03:20 β π 6 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0A slightly wider field of view than the last post of the Rosette Nebula. This is only 35 minutes of exposure time so the detail and colours are not as good but I like it.
21.03.2025 00:35 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0A hearty greeting to Galaxy season with the M81 group - Bodeβs Galaxy, the Cigar Galaxy, NGC3077 (bottom right) and PGC28225 (the smudge on the upper left of the starless shot). This was ~2.5 hours exposure time on a Vespera Pro.
19.03.2025 02:19 β π 4 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0As Nebula season is quickly coming to an end, what better way to say goodbye than a quick capture of M42, the Orion Nebula.
17.03.2025 02:49 β π 26 π 3 π¬ 2 π 0Chillinβ behind the shed.
07.03.2025 21:23 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 2 π 0Wednesday eveningβs Moon.
07.03.2025 00:58 β π 12 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Rosette Nebula
An hour and a half on the Rosette Nebula in between clouds.
04.03.2025 15:34 β π 44 π 4 π¬ 1 π 045 minutes on the Horsehead and Flames Nebulas last night. With nebula season rapidly drawing to a close there wonβt be much opportunity for anything in the Orion region until autumn.
26.02.2025 22:49 β π 20 π 1 π¬ 1 π 0Thanks
22.02.2025 02:16 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Spider Nebula
As the cold weather has dissipated, so have the clear skies. This is IC 417, the Spider Nebula, captured over the last week (4 hourβs exposure) while the temperature was below -30 degrees C.
21.02.2025 20:58 β π 4 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I think it was closer to full last night than tonight. Hope you guys are doing well.
13.02.2025 03:08 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0February 11 99% Moon. Close enough to full for me.
12.02.2025 21:29 β π 16 π 1 π¬ 2 π 0Thank you
11.02.2025 16:11 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Hard to say as it is a stack of frames from a video - it was 30 fps so that would give an approximation.
11.02.2025 01:30 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Lol
11.02.2025 01:19 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Right you are!
11.02.2025 01:16 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Last nightβs ~75% waxing gibbous Moon. A quick shot since neither I nor the scope do well at -40 degree windchills
10.02.2025 22:39 β π 57 π 1 π¬ 6 π 1I have taken many photos of the
Andromeda Galaxy over the years but this has always been a fav. Canon DSLR with a 135mm Rokinon lens - nothing fancy but it captured it well.
It is but we have had them before in Saskatoon so maybe sometime again.
