László Krasznahorkai holds a highly critical view of Viktor Orbán and his regime, expressing horror at Orbán's actions and the "unprecedented" and "almost unparalleled" stance on issues like Hungarian neutrality in the face of conflict.

An extremely proud day for Hungarians. I just really hope Orbán’s proxies won’t launch a smear campaign, since Krasznahorkai is an outspoken critic of contemporary fascism, far-right politics, and Viktor Orbán himself.

I felt a lump in my throat when it was announced that László Krasznahorkai had won this year's Nobel Prize in Literature. I love his books and have reviewed four of his novels for The Irish Times.

He also highlights that the most important thing for us to do is to remain peaceful in our protesting and to record any altercations we witness.

I wouldn’t be surprised to see more of these aggressive, clearly illegal tactics. They want to get a rise out of the community. It’s all about manufacturing pretext for the insurrection act.

What makes Trump govt so bold as to declare they will execute US citizens against Trump govt & will invoke the Insurrection Act? Do they plan to bomb or nuke entire cities & states? Will they import illegal immigrants from foreign countries to kill US citizens? All this for what?

It was the dumbest thing I've ever seen on television. A Trump infomercial for invoking the insurrection act. And WAPO wrote an article today saying that the meeting was helping Trump to "build a legal and moral case" to federalize the military. I canceled my WAPO subscription today.
