I should add that I usually also lack the energy to watch films or play games! As well as respond to messages etc. most people don’t realise these things actually take energy.

Those 6 hours a day are precious even if often they are difficult tho! I have to be grateful I can get up and about at all I suppose.

Yes believe it or not, it takes, at least for me, a certain cognitive energy to actually enjoy listening to music which often (most the time) I don’t have.

Some people seem to envy spending approx 18 hours a day in bed as if it’s some kinda luxury, which I get if it’s a one off. It really wears thin when that’s most of your days, and brain fog means you can’t engage with reading, art or even (listening to) music

I wanna write on the limitations of having chronic illness / pain while being a working class experimental musician and all that stuff, but… I’m too knackered and ill all the time to do that

The night ended with us in his backstage area. Trying to talk to him while he scoffed a bowl of mixed fruits and nuts while fretting for his signature ski shades, then Sydney trying to get back her shades she lent him before I had to sprint for my train. I share his resentment of the main light.

Still can’t believe I got to see Martin Rev in farsley the other day. Very surreal experience. It was the perfect way of getting schooled by the elders. At 77 he still encapsulated the spirit of Suicide. I rarely go and see my ‘heroes’ but it was so worth it!
