Also z.B. "Wur*st", "Schnitz*el", "SΓΆd*er". Danke fΓΌr diese schΓΆne Realsatire, liebes @europarl.europa.eu

'For now'? I'm afraid the damage is done. IMHO, we are all in a Humpty Dumpty sort of predicament, but people are only starting to realise this on either side of the Atlantic.
NB: Merz' post-NATO statement does not figure very prominently in German news media.

Last night's nightmare:
3. But I realise I am just shouting at a TV screen – and I wake up. Why do I feel that this nightmare somehow captures the spirit of our times? (Disclaimer: I also have pleasant dreams.)

Last night's nightmare:
2. Yet people continue to run outside in search of salvation, instead of taking shelter as deep inside as possible. As the rocks and bodies pile up, I shout in dismay: "Why do you keep running outside when you can see this will be your downfall?"

Last night's nightmare:
1. watching a dark cityscape live on b/w TV with a sense of foreboding. Rocks start falling from the sky, pebble-sized at first, but getting bigger and bigger. (Their origin? Nobody knows.) Panicked inhabitants run outside and are hit, injured and eventually killed.

Exclusive: NSF this week began to search through billions of dollars of grants the agency has already awarded for anything touching on topics that President Donald Trump has criticized. And NSF has blocked grantees and trainees from accessing funds while the review is underway. scim.ag/3El0NZh

This is a big deal, y'all. Federal health websites are being stripped of content or removed in their entirety. Stick with this thread for a look at what's disappeared so far! 1/x

Here's what some of my colleagues at Warsaw University of Technology posted on 1 November, 2024: "Predicting the winner of the US 2024 elections using trust analytics" by K. BudzyΕ„ska and E. Gajewska. arxiv.org/abs/2411.10457. Interesting methodology. Spoiler warning: they got it right...
