Thanks for having me again this year.

Last year's and this year's have been yearly highlights for me.

A couple of shots from one of my runs on the Tail of the Dragon yesterday.

On review of some of the footage I've recorded (from my action cam on my helmet) on this trip, unfortunately there may be a lot that isn't usable.. the camera was pointed too far downward..

That sucks, because it would have been some great stuff of the runs on the Tail of the Dragon.

Started out this morning on a well needed vacation.
Going to be spending the next few days up at the Tail of the Dragon on the bike with some good people and good times.

I have about another hour and a half to go on a 5(ish) hour ride.

The roads up here in north Georgia are awesome!

This dish is called an 'exercise in two extremes'.

A really really nice thick cut pork chop, Pan seared with a brown butter sauce.

And a side of box Mac and Cheese.

Gotta remember them roots!

It really is, such a perfect size.
It's got a good heft to it despite its delicate look.

I love to support (when I can) local potters and craftspeople, and while perusing the wares of some vendors at a local second Saturday event, I saw this great little bowl and had to have it.

I swear, if anyone opens their mouth about the Bob Ross hiding that bush in the painting, his ghost is gonna come back and whoop some ass...

That was our little secret, he even said so!

It's not that hard, at all..
At 200 yards, there is negligible influence on a rifle round due to wind. Rising heat is basically never an issue except in some extremely long range situations.
200 yards is not an uncommon distance for regular enthusiast hunters.

It's very important to mention that (if the ammo used even remotely has these head stamp markings) that it DOES NOT lead any credibility to some 'inside job' or military connection.
A NATO head stamp only means that the ammo was made to NATO spec.
NATO spec and surplus ammo is widely available.

No. Not at all.

The civilian market is flooded with NATO spec surplus ammo to begin with.

And, in particular, a NATO head stamp mark only means that the ammo was manufactured to be in NATO spec not that it's ammo that was only made for military use.

He didn't deserve it, but he got what he happily thought other people deserved.
His children didn't deserve to see their father fall to violence, but he celebrated and (at minimum, tacitly) encouraged physical, emotional, mental, legal, and extrajudicial violence against people and groups he hated.

My ultimate goal is to live my life by a simple code.

A hard lesson learned, sometimes, but a really necessary one.

I think this guy was just oblivious to my presence on the road. There were no precipitating events that would have caused him to be aggressive towards me.
Just a reinforcement of the lesson that a bike has to ride defensively, and always anticipate the movements of others.
He just wasn't looking.

Had a scare on the bike last night.

A truck tried to merge into me, it got very close and almost ran me off the road.

Remember kids, the graveyard is full of riders who had the right of way.

I had an amazing time working at DragonCon this year. If you were in the card gaming area (Magic, Pokemon, Lorcana) you may have seen me at registration/prize wall.
It was long, it was tiring, and I'm absolutely beat now, but overall I'm very happy with this year.
