I use Arch and would never recommend it to a new user, the constant upgrade would annoy a lot of users. I think the joke is Arch is for people who know what they are doing and Mint/Ubuntu etc is there for those who just want to get things done and don't want any hassle, which I totally get.

I would agree on most of those, and who can forget money. However I would disagree about humanism, as there is considerable evidence that humans have a direct instinct for moral behaviour without recourse to any belief structure, the theory of beneficial altruism expounded by Prof. Dawkins etc.
