My most enjoyable summer read yet, #natureboy by @seanronayne.bsky.social. It sums up beautifully what's important to remember, cherish & protect in our world & lives. A must for educators, so we can properly situate nature in schools & also become more inclusive! Autism is rarely explained better!

Out for an evening walk in Clondalkin. We often forget or take for granted the treasures around us. Thousands of years of history, here a 1500 year old monument from a time when Ireland was at the global centre of monastic christian learning & writing. Nearby, so much more. Maybe I'll do a series! 🤣

Tonight, we celebrated with another group of students as they graduated from @staidanscs.bsky.social! We are sad to say goodbye & see them go, but more importantly, we are proud of their goodness, huge talent, achievements & potential to do great things. The future is exciting & brighter for us all!

We left areas of grass uncut @staidanscs.bsky.social to allow our thousands of newly planted native trees and hedgerows take hold. Look at what has sprung out of the ground in just a few short weeks! Why do we cut grass so short at all?

I'm looking at the US from across the water. Trump told his supporters he would M.A.G.A. so they rejected very good in favour of a fake vision of paradise! Once the great power that gave hope to the world, do those supporters see the world's disbelief now as it descends into the dark ages & madness?

If there were no guns in America, how many would die from firearm related injuries? Would it be less than the average 46,000 annually/ 126 per day? What would I know, I live in a country where there's only about 1 every 126 days. Even the police don't carry guns! Less guns = less deaths, surely not?

Hold on, pain ends! It was a real treat for myself and Una to plant a #treeofhope @staidanscs.bsky.social beside our front door. In the 24 hourse since we did, I've noticed countless people sitting beside it, sometimes alone, often smiling, thinking, wondering and hopefully just feeling good!
