How exactly are people supposed to fight back against a dictatorship when any comment that contains the word rebellion gets auto-deleted and gets you a ban on Reddit?
I think the US is well past the time for protests, the time of active rebellion is here, this is what people should be organizing
I would have personally wanted them to go Maluach at 8, Jakucionis at 19, Newell at 22, with Powell and Saraf/Wolf at 26/27, but I suppose there can be some possible rationale for having Traore over Jakucionis
But I think this is clearly a bright red tanking signal that says they're going for 2026
Honestly there really only one pick of the nets that's kind of hard to defend, it's Demin at 8. The rest are like even if they're suboptimal, they're not heinous.
Demin at 8 isn't heinous, but in the context of everyone else they picked, it feels like they could have gone in a different direction
If they had gone Maluach at 8, I would have been fine if they had taken the rest of the draft as is.
If they had gone Maluach at 8 and Jakucionis at 19 I would have been overjoyed.
But Demin at 8 and then Traore at 19? This is a declaration of tank
I don't have a problem with the Nets' picks of Powell, Saraf, and Wolf, those seem to be relatively okay to good value for where they were.
But why take Demin at 8 if you were just going to take all these similar guys after? Why not take an upside swing on Maluach at that point?
The Nets have just gone and cornered the entire market on playmakers who either aren't athletic or aren't shooters or both.
What does it lead to? Well I guess a massive tank effort for the 2026 draft and hoping that one or two of them pops while the other ones just get discarded
My dream draft for the Nets would have been Maluach at 8, Jakucionis at 19. If they did that I would be absolutely over the moon and would give them an A+ draft grade
What sucks is that it was totally possible!
Feels like this is a team that wants to swing for upside and plans to tank next year
Pretty much. I would have liked one or the other, but not both on the same team, especially not at pick 8. If they didn't like Jakucionis, I would have much rather they picked Maluach at 8 and then picked one of Traore or Demin at 19 if they wanted to go that route
26.06.2025 02:41 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 2 π 0I really really really hope Jakucionis falls to the Nets, or the Nets trade up one or two picks to get him. I seriously would have drafted him at 8, and it's crazy that we are at 16 and he's still there
26.06.2025 02:03 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0The top 7 unfolded pretty much how I expected, but Demin at 8 is certainly a surprise.
I can't say I like it, but hey, we never know what's going to happen. He deserves a chance to at least prove his worth. But one thing is clear, Demin needs to get his shooting up to par more than anything else
Hey wondering if you could shed some light on this, if you have the base game + Asia only, can you use the updated player boards introduced in Oceania, as well as nectar? Or do you need to have the Oceania expansion?
17.06.2025 04:47 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Some clarifications:
Is the updated Oceania board available in the base game? Is nectar available in base game?
If I get the base game and Asia, will the oceania board + nectar be available to play with then?
Bumfights, but make it even more american
16.05.2025 03:01 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I hate this path of product development where once you gain monopolization, you then actively try to make your product worse so that you can sell people the non-shittified version as an upgrade
They are targeting how to make the experience as bad as possible, so that being a free user is painful
After looking at it briefly, I think my current wishlist for the Nets pick at 8 is as follows:
1. Jakucionis
2. Fears
3. Maluach
4. Tre Johnson
5. Knueppel
Jakucionis seems like a classic guy who will be bumped down due to athleticism; while ignoring his IQ, skills, and feel for the game
Surely this new video won't make me seem like a crank.

Is there any reason why Orlando Robinson has not seen the floor today?
21.03.2025 03:50 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Game of Thrones could do that in their later seasons because they had built up the cultural cache to do that. It does not mean that every big show can do the same. Even the spinoff, House of the Dragon can't pull it off. You cannot take a year off, put out a few episodes, and keep people invested
19.03.2025 07:04 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Wheel of Time is the latest guilty party to the new way of showing TV
Like, it's a good enough show, but you can't put out 8 episodes every other year, taking a year off, and expect me to remember the story or characters. You're not established enough to do that. No one knows your terminology
Ngayon sabi nila: Like father, like son
Pero dati: The sins of the father are not the sins of the son
You voted for this, walang nambudol sayo, nobody tricked you, nobody lied to you, if you voted for this after everyone told you not to, don't go looking around for someone to blame
You cannot go back and try to patch this up, you see how many holes the current system has. Right from the basic foundation - the system of checks and balances, the current system fails the test. So if checks and balances are out the window, you need to act accordingly
05.03.2025 06:11 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0The most common response that some gave is: they don't want the democrats to have a Project 2025 because it's autocratic
But I think this is the only way forward, you need to have your own Project 2025 which contains everything you want done, how exactly you want to shape govt, and how you'll do it
I asked this before the election and I think it should still be asked now: Where is the democrat's version of Project 2025?
The republicans are getting everything they want done, because they had clear goals written out, including how they would do them, they were drawing from a playbook
The last really good crop of best picture nominees was what, 2019? Parasite, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, 1917, Joker, Little Women, Ford v Ferrari, Jojo Rabbit, you know actual films that made an impact on a large scale
More and more it seems the nominees are stuff nobody's seen
I find that every year in the 2020's I'm liking the best picture nominees less and less. Like it's swinging way too much towards these obscure Oscar bait indies, and this year's Emilia Perez nominations are the icing on the cake
