Strangely enough there was a similar prop mentioned in the screenplay for Murphy’s Law but Robert F Lyons got them to delete that part, maybe it was an in joke at Canon - see Bronson’s Loose Again by Paul Talbot.

One thing I loved about this was that the alternate history in The Grasshopper Lies Heavy isn’t our timeline either, tricky customer that PKD guy.

Even though I prefer the cut of the film without the studio stuff, it’s pretty great in its own right - the bit where they’re (re)creating On the Run on the EMS synth, the bit with the pie crust, Dave’s insincere “you can trust us…”
