The Lunar ray system in the Copernicus/Kepler regions are composed of glassy impact generated particles that are highly reflective. Capturing them when they are illuminated overhead, near full moon, provides a particularly dramatic view. #astrophotography More details at: app.astrobin.com/i/hmxkbe

I captured this image of the last Titan transit of the year on October 5th with very good but not great seeing. This is one of 23 images that I may assemble into an animation. More details in my gallery: app.astrobin.com/i/bdfx1sAn #astrophotography

Thanks, Bill. I was pleasantly surprised that the star forming regions are so visible without using a HA filter, while the faint color is still present.

This is NGC 6946, a face-on spiral galaxy on the border of Cepheus and Cygnus. Ten supernovas have been detected in this galaxy over the last 100 years leading to its nickname, the Fireworks galaxy. More details in my gallery: app.astrobin.com/i/57inax?r=C #astrophotography

This is SH2-155 in Cepheus. The use of two dual band filters, recombining the signal in a Hubble3 palette in APP, brings out the subtle depth of the nebulosity in this target, sometimes called the Cave Nebula. More details in my gallery: app.astrobin.com/i/cha0mf #astrophotography

This lunar image is with a โ€œnewโ€ Orion 7โ€ Maksutov-Cassegrain lunar, planetary, and bright DSO telescope I just purchased. I stacked 150 fits files in Affinity Photo in 6 stacks and stitched them together producing a high resolution result. More details: app.astrobin.com/i/0ujkal #astrophotography
