This image integrates the first two panels of a four panel mosaic of the Southern summer Milky Way in North America. Let's call it the Eagle, the Dove, and the Lion after some of the most iconic targets! more details in my gallery: app.astrobin.com/i/qda5q5 #astrophotography

I usually see the right hand lady (Eagle Nebula M 16) turned at least 90 degrees to the right. I was surprised to see this face emerge as I processed this image.

The lion face on the left also looks like a Next Generation Klingon from Star Trek! And the face on the right may be wearing a nose ring?

These two twins in Serpens started as first of four panes in a summer North American mosaic of the Milky Way with the 51mm Redcat telescope. The twins requested their own separate image, and I obliged. More details in my gallery: app.astrobin.com/i/znuqdb #astrophotography

NGC6539 is a faint globular cluster in Serpens. The red cast in the image is generated by a large dark cloud complex in front of the cluster, which is located in the outer parts of the galactic bulge. More details in my gallery: app.astrobin.com/i/due5g2 #ASTROPHOTOGRAPHY

This image features three Sharpless nebulas in Cygnus, SH2-115, SH2-112, and SH2-116. I used a SHO palette from APP to bring out the luminosity and subtle oxygen and sulphur signals with the stronger hydrogen signal. More details in my gallery: app.astrobin.com/i/bti9te?r=C . #astrophotography

This is Abell 39, an interesting planetary nebula in Hercules. It is unusual since it is almost a perfect sphere, the transparent blue color generated from ionized oxygen from the expanding layers around the central star. More details in my gallery: app.astrobin.com/i/233spq #astrophotography

In this palette the hydrogen signal is mapped primarily to the green color, while the sulphuric is mapped to the red and the oxygen is mapped to the blue. The hydrogen signal is by far the strongest which is why the green is so strong.

Saving human lives, especially in an emergency, has been the work of USAID for decades, and has built the U.S. its reputation as a dependable neighbor in a crisis. How many lives might have been saved had these cuts not been made? Will we ever be seen as a dependable neighbor again?
