In hindsight, my coping strategy of “don’t think about it until January” was absolutely genius until it became January.

More and more young people are flocking to TikTok as a preferred social media platform because they want more authenticity, which Instagram is consistently lacking. 3

We’ve seen this with the transition from MySpace to FB to Insta to Vine to TikTok. Where teenagers and young adults go, the rest of the world often follows. Perhaps it’s because of an obsession with youth culture and the want to feel perpetually young? 2

I’d also like to posit the idea that teenagers are the indicators of what is “cool” to both the public and businesses and will dictate which platforms are going to create content that is deemed culturally relevant.1

I dunno, sometimes I feel like I’m never gonna become an oligarch 😔
