Single/double is good too, just that the entire game needs to be extremely fine tuned for it to work. Double/triple is only good for a light version of triple/quadruple imo, like if you want to show progression in a rogue-like. Lastly, not the biggest fan of big numbers approach

Triple / Quadruple, creates a very steady curve of power so that every few hours you can go to a previous area and be like “wow, I used to worry about these chumps?”. Also leaves more room for damage variance, leading for more risk/reward

so on one hand: the Guard Shell glitch is extremely funny and easy, but on the other hand: Nightmare Mother as Zero may be one of the worst boss experiences in the entire series. Possibly worse than MM7 Wily Capsule buster only no charge shots

I guess they think that making a new game won’t really boost sales all too much right now, they may even think that a new game would dilute the market from all their pre-existing Mega Man releases

iirc there was something sent out to investors years ago that listed Mega Man as one of their “evergreen” properties, meaning that it doesn’t sell extraordinarily well, but sells consistently decently for years. Their plan is likely to only make a new one once MM11’s sales die down a bit

The thing is though is if you get the wrong nightmare effect both of those stages can get nigh unplayable, especially with Blizzard Wolfang + Nightmare Zero apparitions
