Saw this ad on reddit using vampire romantasy to sell birth control. Having been around vampire fiction all my life, birth control never comes into play. (I’m not counting that one storyline in ANGEL.)

Pepper takes off the windbreaker at some point in this chapter. (Also, I found a Mitsubishi 9850 HB pencil in my stash and I’m really loving it.)

Originally, my comic was to have a side story called MONSTER BRIGADE, about the other monsters living on the island, with their leader being the Monster King, a parody/homage to the Goblin King. I axed the side comic idea, but kept the characters for the main story. The Monster King’s debut nears. 🥳

Back to sketching on paper for my comic. I like the tactical, unpolished, chaos of pens, markers, and pencils at this stage. All I’m worried about here is getting my ideas on paper when envisioning these scenes. I can worry about panels later. 🖊

I was today-years-old when I learned that I could drag and drop materials into my Materials folder in CSP. No more going through the Edit menu to Register Materials. (Works on brush tips, too.) 🤯

Someone gave me a tin of mints for Halloween, and the newly empty tin now has a new life holding my limited palette of white gouche and payne’s grey.

One CSP feature I would like Celsys to add: the ability to have Record Timelapse turned on with each new file, while also allowing users to have this off if they prefer.

(I keep forgetting to hit record.)

I thought searching for art references was dead now due to the amount of AI slop, but I randomly found out that by adding "before:2022" to any search will clear it from the results.

I can still access my account through the site, but I'm out of luck when it comes to mobile deposits. I would have to travel into the city (35 min away) to deposit any checks I receive. I also don't drive. 😔

I’m currently using a hand-me-down iPhone 7 that is stuck on iOS 15, and one by one, I’m losing access to all of my apps. “This app requires iOS 16 or higher.”

I can’t even continue using these apps without updating, which is impossible.

Lost access to my bank app today. 🤬

I find the near juxtaposition of showing the Milan Cathedral, its history, and all the human hands that went into creating it over 600 years, with the AI montage that appeared later, falling somewhere in the territory of hypocrisy.

Watching the Olympics Opening Ceremony, and was that AI I just saw in the collage? 😬

The power has been out since 2pm and the generator won’t start. Might lose all my food. If I can find some coolers/ice chests, I might be able to save some things. 🥶

It's leaning towards the corner of the house and would also hit my storage building if it were to fall. I can deal with an extended power outage, but this looming threat--it never leaves me.

This is the tree that's frightened me for years. It has been losing limbs lately, and I suspect that it's dying from fungus. And last I looked, the forecast is calling for nearly an inch of ice. 😬

I used to live near Myrtle Beach, SC, and remembered the few ice and snow storms during my time there (and hurricanes/tropical storms). Everything was shut down for days. I’m originally from WV, so I’m familiar with bad winters. Ice storms worry me more, though. I will always be over-prepared! 🥶

Those around me think I'm overreacting about the winter storm. I live near the TX/LA border, along the I-20 corridor. The forecast is for nearly an inch of ice. There's also the tree by my house that has worried me for years, but no one else seems concerned. Will there be a big ol' "I told-ya-so!"?

My desk doesn’t have much room for a proper adjustable art table, so I ended up using a large clipboard and an adjustable tablet stand I had laying around. I was surprised at how well this works.
