The fact this is the highest grossing 2D animated film of the 21st century is both hilarious and also sad

Have a slight preference towards Mike for being more punchy with
riffs but the chemistry between Kevin as Servo and Trace as Crow is magic
I should get back into MST3K man
Nobody does film riffing like Joel, Mike, Servo and Crow
The PS1/N64 rivalry is kinda odd
Like the PS1 console itself outsold the N64 in a landslide but then you look at data on the games themselves and at least per year the N64 blockbusters were better sellers than the big PS1 games (in general)
Mario 64 is even the best selling 5th gen game ever.
Playing Ocarina of Time currently.
Certainly one of the primordial 3D games of the generation, and like its counterparts it has unrefined yet fun and exciting gameplay
Also Navi (atleast as of now) is pretty overhated. Maybe 20 hours in Iโll hate her though
Hey remember when Disney made satire cartoons taking the piss out of Nazi Germany
I miss that
To the films of Docter, Unkrich, Ranft, Stanton, Bird, etc.
Maybe i sound melodramatic. I just think it hurts that the former best animation studio (in the US) is being dragged down 70s cartoon style by the company they kept from irrelevancy.
Not saying theyโre doomed or whatever, just. It sucks.
I get that the BrainTrust model wasnโt a perfect system and didnโt translate well to Disneys studio, but it was better than it + major corporate hands shaping the story to have โmass appealโ
As long as Disneys current management is in place, the second gen will not even have a chance to measure up
Yknow, I accepted the fact that the โuntouchable perfect film studioโ that Pixar died in 2010. I even accepted that theyโve lost their place as the industry leader in CGI.
But with the reports of Elio and other statements, it sucks that their second gen era of personable stories has been cut short
It is my birthday today

It pops up here and there now but itโs not Minecraft or Roblox levels of having a comeback, I guess because itโs a point and click adventure game and thus more limited
NEW STEVEN UNIVERSE SERIES CONFIRMED FOR PRIME VIDEO AT THE ANNECY FESTIVAL
It's called "Steven Universe: Lars of the Stars".
The new series will "chart Lars and his pirate crew as they smuggle contraband, evade the authorities, and uncover the darkest secrets of the fallen Gem Empire".
Exec produced by Rebecca Sugar and Ian JQ.
Crude photoshop of that one scene from Always Sunny where Charlie goes fucking ballistic on Santa Claus but it's Kris Deltarune as Charlie and Sans as Santa
It's Always Sunny in Hometown

No hate to Sohn, Iโm sure heโll do the best he can, but Yknow, parallels.
Again, itโd be a risky move esp for people who might not be as business smart or tech savvy, but I do think it could work, if they found business partners the way Hanna, Barbera and Freleng did
Again they donโt hold the responsibility Iโm just putting my own two cents out there
The YouTube โbusiness modelโ is famously hell to navigate and really luck dependent, and alt. distribution is kinda also skivvy, I donโt blame those who donโt wanna risk the jump.
But I also feel if CN or Nick went bust it would be nice if their creators were to found a successor studio like old
So yes, literally since the beginning, childrenโs/family cartoons have had adult fanbases and jokes/references in them

Fun facts: While not the first animated kids tv shows to exist, Huckleberry Hound and Rocky and Bullwinkle were the first to be majorly successful, solidifying their place as animation being a viable medium for kids.
Even in their early days, they were liked by adults for their โadultโ writing.
