SMB3 is almost fully functional in the SMC Practice Hack! There are still a few things to do, but most of it is there and usable. Massive thanks to @simplistic6502.bsky.social for helping out with some of the more challenging parts of porting over the NES practice ROM code to SNES.

So the problem is the checkpoint location for where to load Mario in C-3 (and practically all levels in Worlds A-D) is wrong. The Whirlwind Manu release puts Mario in a spot that kills you as soon as you load, while other pirate releases will spawn in you inside a spring.

I've been gaining interest in developing test ROMs for the MMC5 mapper chip. I've experimented recently with seeing how certain emulators handle PRG-RAM from $8000-$DFFF.
