I encourage looking at the actual statistics rather than relying on false equivalencies. What matters is addressing root causes through evidence-based policy.

These aren't opinions - they're empirical findings from decades of rigorous research across multiple fields. While anyone can commit violence, the data clearly shows dramatic gender disparities in scale, severity and systematic nature of sexual violence.

What we do see in the data:

*Systematic documentation of organized abuse networks targeting women/girls
*Legislative history shows consistent patterns of laws restricting women's autonomy
*90% of sexual assault perpetrators are male

*Show me the group texts of over 70,000 women discussing how to sexually assault and abuse men without getting caught
*Show me a woman who has kept a man captive as her sex slave for over 20 years
*Show me a woman who kidnaps and rapes little boys

Maybe I'll believe this bullshit lie when you can:

*Provide at least 3 examples of a man being gang raped by women
* Show me an example of a wife who drugged her husband and sex trafficked him to hundreds (thousands?) online
* list all the anti-man laws *women* have drafted

THREAD: As a researcher in gender-based violence and systemic misogyny, I'm concerned by the ascension to power by multiple men credibly accused of sexual assault and mistreatment of women.

I am also sick of this narrative that "women are just as bad as men!"
