Today is #WorldFoodDay.
Through life-saving support to those suffering from acute hunger, and long-term efforts to ensure food supply, Sweden is contributing to food security worldwide. Support is provided through UN organisations such as WFP, IFAD and FAO & through civil society actors.

Discussions centered on Nordic commitment to a green, digital and gender-equal transition – and the potential for even stronger trade and economic partnerships with African countries.

In recent years, #Nordic and #African countries have cooperated in the #UNSC and #UNGA on reform issues.

Last week, Ministers of Foreign Ministers from Nordic and African countries gathered in Zimbabwe for the annual Nordic-African foreign ministers’ meeting. Sweden’s Minister, Ms. Malmer Stenergard met with Ambassador Dunoma Ahmed, Permanent Secretary, Nigeria's Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

I had the honour of ”handing over” my responsibilities youth ambassador Progress Umoh, and learned about her passion to be the voice for young people in Nigeria - and to become a medical doctor.
Her main point to me: quality education for all children!
