Braver Angels didn't have their April meeting due to storms and flooding. Meeting about Climate Change is rescheduled to Sunday May 4th at the Garland County Library from 2-4pm.
They will be having a guest from the Citizens' Climate Lobby speak about Arkansans' perspective on climate change.

Power companies would be able to raise your electric bill more easily under new legislation SB307 removes several protections against rate increases, makes it easier for utilities to pass costs to customers, and neuters regulators' ability to do much about it.

Seems bad. SB307 would allow utilities to self-regulate new (likely gas) power plants inside and outside of Arkansas, and charge new rates, without PSC approval. It'll be easier to plan and cancel an out-of-state nuke than build renewables. #arpx #arleg
