Coughlin refused to send it to Committee without majors watered-down changes that made the bill completely ineffective. It’s abhorrent leadership and needs to be called out. He’s either transphobic or unwilling to upset the powers that be in DC. This can happen to any marginalized group in NJ.

Almost every obstacle mentioned in the article could have been solved if the state legislatures wanted to. Just because I bill doesn’t move, as in MA, doesn’t mean it’s bad- just means legislators are sitting in it to preserve their own agendas and power. Come to Dem NJ if you want a masterclass.

I took a friend to hospital through NHS in England for a lump in her breast. That day, they did a mammogram, biopsy, AND gave her the results of it later that day. ONE DAY! I had a similar situation in the US that took weeks. We need universal healthcare.

Bless her! As a person with kidney issues and a dad on dialysis, I think this is one of the most selfless acts a person can do.
