I got the train from Watford Junction to Clapham junction this morning and went to get my connection to Epsom but my mind must've been elsewhere because I caught a train to Esher. Got off feeling all smug, realised I was 20 miles away from where I needed to be so had to get cab. How was your day?

This seems awfully similar to the description for chicklit in the 00s. "A story of a boy, a girl and an out of control coffee machine!!"

Is there an app for randomly generating young adult fantasy novel titles? It seems to follow a pattern of "The Object" and the "adjective" "unrelated to the first object, object" e.g. "The toilet seat and the angry marmoset"

I just had to tell some youngsters off at my front door. They were pulling tree branches down. I'm old

A middle aged man helplessly holds an alligator’s tail as it steals his hat

In a sentence never before uttered by humans, I am delighted to share that an alligator stole my conservation instructor’s hat by jauntily walking into the water while wearing it 🐊

My job contract ended today but I still managed to have an awesome day! I rode on a DLR (at the front, obvs), took the cable car across the Thames, rode an uber ferry from Greenwich to Westminster and had a Chinese for tea!

When I'm nearing a hair appointment, they send me about 10 reminders in different mediums. I'm half expecting one of those banners trailing behind a light aircraft

There have been so many advancements in dentistry but an extraction is still just someone with pliers applying brute force to a tooth

I bought myself a new shredder and I've been pretending that I'm destroying state secrets instead of letters from hmrc reminding me my tax return is due.

It's not spoken about enough because it's considered "vulgar" but there's very little in life more satisfying than a really good pooh

I'm weaning myself off nearly a decade of antidepressants and pregabalin. Down to 20mg from 60mg of Fluoxetine and completely off the pregabalin. Going really well except the world is going to shit and everyone is talking about me.

I've often wondered if hairdressers have a strategy in the event of a client falling ill during a treatment like a colour? The last thing I'd want if I woke up after a heart attack is to find out my hair was fucked.
