I believe that LLMs (mislabelled as "AI") are useful tools under certain circumstances. They are also wildly overhyped and surrounded by the thickest, densest layers of bullshit I've seen in my life.

This is a good read, and covers the reasons why they are not the hyped "solution to everything".

The headline made me laugh.

Context: "the fast-food chain has introduced the technology...with the aim of reducing mistakes and speeding up orders.

...the AI seems to have served up the complete opposite."

Expect more of this as people try to apply a useful-but-limited tool to everything.
