I used to read a lot of apocalyptic fiction written by the world’s greatest sci-fi authors, now I’m reading the same stories but written by journalists, economists and scientists and it’s called non-fiction.

I decided to start a #thread 🧵 of stories about legal residents and tourists being (illegally) arrested, detained and/or deported by the Trump regime. I'll only post stories from serious sources, as rumors and conspiracies are really not needed in this authoritarian moment.

To the guy who said to me, “you live in North America therefore you already are an American” - no. The US is the only nation in NA that *doesn’t* have a name, they have to *default* to using the continent for their identity. All the other countries in NA proudly have actual names and identities.

Also if it wasn’t for the fact that that I’ve already paid and have only 7 weeks left of my degree, I’d quit in protest, but that wouldn't’ do anyone any good.

I’ve decided, that since MCPHS quietly and in the middle of the night dismantled their DEI, despite being a health programs college, and kissed the ring, then there’s no reason for me to go to my commencement in May.
