This is a large part of the reason why my probably-autistic ass has such terrible eating habits. Getting mocked for (or otherwise having a lot of attention drawn to) trying something new gave me such a complex as a kid. It felt less soul-crushing to be mocked for old habits than new ones.

Tamsin and Lucanis are "she fell first, he fell harder." She started crushing on him immediately, he took a while to get there. But once he did, it was all over.

I cannot really call any video game perfect, because there are too many definitions of the word and no game meets all of them at the same time. If I spend more than, like, 10 hours on a game, that means it was perfect for me in that moment. Perfect as in "has no flaws," though? Never.

Committing a new act of Tav tonight, and learning photo mode besides. I love my new pretty rogue so far. Aiming to go for Gale this time, if I can resist the lure of the vampire man. 😆

And even then, I expect I'll continue to adjust her as writing and replaying and obsessive thinking reveal more to me. A character is never done, I guess. A version of them can be complete for a story, but they'll never be complete in my head.

I marvel when someone has an OC that springs fully formed from their mind, and is always the same person after that with only minor changes to their personality. It's a year since Veilguard released, and 10 months-ish since Tamsin appeared, and I just now feel like I've gotten to the core of her.

Not being wanted, or useful. Not being needed. She doesn't know who she is without being useful to someone. She's unconsciously afraid she wouldn't be anyone.

It's a bit cliche, but when they spar with each other - not always, though, there's a definite difference between "serious practice" and "hey wanna spar? *eyebrow wiggle*." Tamsin is always a sucker for getting to watch him move.

There are times when DMing has felt like a burden and I've wanted to quit, but I'm glad I didn't. Honestly it was the only way I kept my creativity alive in the last five years at some points.

Today I will be finishing my second full D&D book campaign. It's wild that this group has lasted so long, and we'll go into a third campaign later this year. Especially since we're on two different continents.

I'm going old-school because I was reminded of B5 this week and now I need to do a rewatch.

Tamsin would do okay for a while, but she'd burn herself out or die from exhaustion and depression after a while. She cares too much to be successful long-term.

Tamsin first kissed a boy who worked in the market in Salle when she was probably around 18-ish. It was a curiosity thing for both of them, and they never followed up or spoke about it again.

Finally pulled the trigger on the Disney+ cancellation - we do annual renewals so I've been holding off "in case we want to watch anything beforehand," but the renewal was approaching and it's the right time to maybe make a difference, so there's my brief "you suck" comment added to the fire.

pros and cons of there being someone else on the internets who has a Rook that looks a lot like mine and commissions a ton of art.
pro: look, so much art that I can imagine to be my girl!
con: the worry that if I decide to commission anything, I'll look like a copycat.
