I had a ride on a steam train, sampling local cheeses with my girlfriend today. I'm now home in front of the fire.
It's been a good day.

I don't see a single wasted second there. I'd say that's a day well lived.

I have to say though, the "English butter" scale of temperature is a brilliantly innovative creation.
I may adopt it 😁

I don't know that you'll have to wait that long. The sky is partly clear tonight and I can feel the temperature dropping fast.

It's an immutable law of nature. Similar to the law which says you put your camera down or turn your back, just as the impossible event you were waiting for happens where you had been looking.

At least the technology means she is physically there when the call ends and doesn't have to be there instead. That's at least some comfort.

Oh well, hopefully the grey sky here will clear sometime.

Back home after a week relaxing in the greek sunshine.
I feel totally refreshed and ready to take on the world again. It's quite a change, arid Mediterranean rocks and blue sky, to our grey sky and gorgeous autumn shades. I enjoy both, but home is always great to return to.

My current car doesn't have a gearstick. That's handy 😎

You should see the length of some of my chest hairs. I get the odd rogue which is ridiculous. I'll have to measure one

The atmosphere at Twickenham today was amazing. Such an enthusiastic and loud crowd. And pretty much all of us stayed to watch the parade around the field with the trophy too. The roses were truly fantastic and did us proud.

Off to support the #RedRoses at Twickenham today.
It's going to be a fantastic game, and I'll be cheering them all the way to the trophy!

Congratulations to the red roses! What a game 😀
That result makes the fact I have tickets for Twickenham next week all the sweeter.

Battle Doom scrolling by sharing 5 small pleasures in life.

1) listening to waves caress the beach.

2) walking through a forest, especially in autumn / fall.

3) seeing your children smile.

4) spending time alone with your partner.

5) getting lost in a good book.
