Absolutely! Even though I had a clear goal, I discovered things about my characters and what they would do as the book came to life...

"Author, this is for you" “Coffee? You’re very thoughtful, Butler, thanks! Why did you bring me it?” “Housekeeper told me she’d spoken with you earlier, and you kept calling her Tendina…” “Ah...” “Don’t worry! we know Monday isn’t a day to fire up the engine” ☕ #writingcommunity #booksky #booklover

I’m finally back getting lost in this wonderful nature, in the spots where, laptop in hand, I wrote many chapters of In Viaggio and On a Journey. Immersed in that peace, I’m starting the Spanish edition, En Viaje. 🌿💻📖🇪🇸 #writingcommunity #booksky #booklover #naturelovers

Butler in Crisis

“Have you seen the lord?” Butler stormed into the kitchen, looking visibly distressed. He didn’t even glance at Chef, the undisputed king of that domain, but instead scoured every inch of the room, including the view beyond the windows, as if the lord he was seeking might be hiding in one of the pots on the stove or playing hide-and-seek among the garden thorns. So nervous was he that he even forgot the basic courtesy of greeting upon entering.
“Good morning to you too, Butler, eh!” Chef responded with the only sarcastic remark Butler ever managed to draw from him—he always enjoyed keeping him on edge whenever he got flustered over trivial things.
Most of the kitchen staff, intimidated by Butler's imposing presence, mumbled barely audible greetings before disappearing into the pantry to avoid any improbable yet possible reprimands. All but one: Strawberry, perhaps the most terrified of Butler in the entire estate, remained frozen in place, hoping to blend into the background. But he wasn't very good at it. When Chef called out to him, he jumped as if bitten by a viper, dropping a few potatoes from the bowl he'd just filled, his reaction punctuated by a choked

Today we step into Chef’s realm. After sharing the cover last time, let’s settle among his pages. Chef, kindly seat our guests—Butler looks distracted. 🍽️📖👨‍🍳 #writingcommunity #booksky #booklover

“A new twist—Butler spying on the Lord” whispers Chef from behind his friend

“I’m just checking he didn’t steal my lemon cake”

“YOUR lemon cake?? Sounds like a raid on MY pantry…”

Butler, pale at the memory, darts away while Chef chuckles under his whiskers.
