Ending to WIP1 has been edited, line edited, read three times in 8 days and sent back for a final check. I cannot wait to piece this book back together and get it submitted to publishers.

Now back to waiting and working on WIP3 which hopefully won't need half so much structural fixing.

The book is in full flow, which is funny given how hard it has been to write in the past. This second draft is already richer, deeper, more meaningful and full of adventure and I'm only 12000 words in.

Despite having a full draft of this WIP3, I've made two choices that render that version pretty much useless to me now. I'm both frustrated and pleased. Writing is weird.

We came 7th out of 26 teams and narrowly missed being in the final dragon boat race. Massive success for Shakespeare's Hospice who raised around £45k to support their incredible work.

I've been unwell so focused on resting and recuperating rather than writing. I did watch the last season of Shadowhunters which is perfect easy watching, but also made me want a rune to heal me up nice and quick.

As I was falling asleep, when all the best ideas come to you, I realised I needed to restructure my WIP2 so it ended with an emotional gut punch. Which I have now done.

It's better for it, and the word count is now sitting at 80k.
