Subway to close to make space for new segregated cycle path
More trees will also be planted in the space created by the removal of the underpass
How dare the council close this putrid and little-used subway with a pedestrian crossing already above it to make Redcliff Hill safer for the most vulnerable road users

New red surface on cycle lanes could reduce conflict between cyclists and pedestrians
The trial is expected to cost up to ยฃ250,000 which will be funded by income generated by the Clean Air Zone
The fact that it took me about ten seconds last night to take the photo illustrating this story shows that most of the cycle lanes around the Centre are currently completely unfit for purpose

'Invisible' cycle lane to finally be made more visible
It comes as work to transform the Centre has been delayed
One of Bristol's invisible cycle paths could soon be made more visible. I can never blame pedestrians for ambling into the way of cyclists here. The whole set-up of the Centre is just an omnishambles.

Prince Street Bridge could finally be closed to cars
The busy bridge would be reserved for people walking, cycling or wheeling only under new proposals
As low-hanging fruit goes, closing Prince Street Bridge to cars is an example of doing something small that could make a big difference. It's only one-way to cars; and the narrowness of the other side causes regular conflict between pedestrians and cyclists. Just get it closed!
