It’s a report written in 2013 about Asian girls who suffer sexual exploitation.

β€œMaximising capacity” & β€œfast track” are somewhat different suggestions.

The former is about making the system better for all. The latter is expediting some at the expense of others.

Fast track for those on long-term sick leave or benefits?
This, by definition means that those who don’t go on long-term sick leave or benefits should be in the slow track (deprioritised).

Are you sure about this?

Politics are fairly well aligned: conservative nationalism hiding under a cloak of religious respectability.

If this person sat next to you on a bus or train and started ranting about Bruce Springsteen in this way, you would get up and move to a different seat.

In the United States, we have him the nuclear codes.

Immigration isn’t a problem. But high visibility of asylum seekers in hotels is an easy political target for populists.

Could this be ameliorated by 3 measures?
- allow asylum seekers to work (some then self-support)
- a β€˜house a refugee’ programme (dispersal)
- speed up processing (reduce backlog)

Ages ago I read an article suggesting that US was fundamentally politically & culturally similar to its Latin American neighbours (except more stable since 1865 & more successful economically). Canada, by contrast was fundamentally similar to European countries.

Maybe explains the US caudillo?

Every day is Roma day. Or at least should be. Several days before the International Roma Day, an unidentified Czech perpetrator has damaged a memorial commemorating children of Romani origin who were murdered by the Nazis during the Second World War.
I sincerely hope the police find & prosecute them

Not seen much about Turkey here.

There’s a trajectory from democracy, to executive overreach, to distorting election rules, hobbling the judiciary, intimidating then controlling the media, arresting political opponents, dictatorship.

The end point is Putin, Erdogan is near, then Orban & Trump.

And no. Statistical process control doesn’t require perfect data. Data error can be also be thought of as either common cause variation (intrinsic to the process) or special cause variation (something unusual, a potentially identifiable assignable cause).

Are these deficiencies unique to specific NHS trusts? Or across the whole HS?

Any measure can potentially distinguish between common-cause variation (trusts we can consider to be broadly consistent with each other) & special-cause variation (something different, we can potentially learn from).

Getting rid of the GP Staff Survey (which only just started) would leave me with zero data on staff experience for my proposed research. I’d like figure out how to to improve staff experience in general practice.
