Gonna throw a curve and recommend a radio program from 1949: the episode “Ghost Hunt” from the show Suspense. The plot: a radio show host spends the night in a haunted house. The next day, only the tape recording of the night’s events are found. One of the earliest examples of the genre.

My Halloween saga is a trilogy of Halloween 1, 2 and 4. I don’t consider 4 any part of the Thorn-stuff. These three movies make a complete story for me. I call it the “Evil Never Dies” trilogy.

We were all doing mental gymnastics with it because we all just wanted a good Halloween movie. While part 5 is far from my favorite, it had its moments. Frankly, the whole sequence where Michael is pretending to be Tina’s boyfriend was rather inspired.

H5’s mask doesn’t even try to resemble the Shape, which is all the worse because it literally begins seconds after the end of part 4.

I don’t know if there will be another game like #slaytheprincess for me. To say this horror/romance gets me in the feels is an understatement. It’s a nightmare that has you near tears of longing sorrow. It’s a gentle analysis of the meaning of death in the trappings of body horror. It’s brilliant.

See, I would have classified it as “shrewd,” which Maria has demonstrated many times (in her own weirdly charming fashion).

May I counter that with one caveat? There are people out there, such as myself, that if I didn’t create, I would die. If you don’t give 10 sh!ts about financial success, keep going. Never stop. It is nutrition for your soul.

Maybe I’ll delete this when I have better days. Maybe I’ll leave it as what it is, a useless screaming into the void that will vanish with me. Maybe.

I’m tired. I’m bitter. I’m sick of seeing so few hurt so many. I’m sick of seeing psychopaths spend millions to plant seeds of hate that grows into forests that have to be carefully pruned and treated in order to have a cohesive social ecosystem. It takes effort to teach hate. Hate is never natural.

If I was burn-rolls-of-cash-in-my-fireplace rich, one of my eccentric spends would be to buy the rights to shows like this along with the original elements and have a team do a proper remaster. Hell, that’s kind of how we got Dogma back in theaters.

Agreed. Back then, syndicated shows were shot on film then transferred to 1 inch video for editing. That means even if they used the master tapes, it’s still a 480 res transfer. That’s why they had to spend millions to rescan the original film negatives for the ST:TNG Blu rays.
