Perishable artifacts from dry cliff shelters in the Amistad Region. My dad did a lot of archaeology (1960s)with the Witte Museum before the lake was filled.
Mostly unprovenienced items that came from looter discard piles. Some may have been separated from the records.

The larger one is an Edward's. The smaller one doesn't quite fit that typology. Possibly Scallorn but just a little too finely made.

Don't you wish people could get this worked up over things that really mattered?

A situation where people are offered short-term solutions to avoid dealing with more serious issues. Used to describe how the government kept citizens content with free food and entertainment.

My dad picked this up on an abandoned property that within a couple of months was bulldozed for a housing development. It was laying next to a barn and had drips of silver paint on it. Must have been right under someone's feet.
The damage appears to be old and has some touch up flaking.

A surface find from a site in Comal Co TX. Either soft stone or very hard clay. Not a local stone. The scratches are from a native centuries ago scraping powder to make paint, which may have been used on pottery or skin.
The tool used to remove the powder was likely a piece of flint.

Picked up in Comal Co. Non-local purple brown quartzite.
STAA "La Tierra" "Quartzite Cobbles Altered by Use" by C.K. Chandler,) describes these as flintknapping edge preparation abrading stones. The grooves developed by long use. The specimens described were the only ones reported.

Granberg Site 41BX17/271 Bexar Co TX. Large occupation site on the Salado Creek. The original excavations, during Loop 410 construction in 1962, revealed 5 burials.
Corner Tang Knife.

I have not quite figured out exactly how Bluesky works.
Trying to purge "artists" who flood my feed with Manga bullshit. Nothing original about "furries" ... big eyed pubescent girls with pointy noses and fox ears. Comic book illustrations at best.

There are too many clicks to block 'em!
